AFM Platform (VUB–UGent) - FWO medium-scale Research Infrastructure - I002620N
Atomic force microscopy (AFM) nanobiotechnology based platform from reaching dynamics of single molecules to versa le materials and cell mechanics.
The AFM Platform is a joint facility coordinated by Prof. Ronnie Willaert (VUB) and Prof. Andrei Skirtach (UGent).
It provides high-speed and high-resolution atomic-force microscopy for nanomechanical characterisation of living cells, biofilms, and biomaterials.
Techniques include 3D nanoendoscopy AFM, force spectroscopy, PeakForce QNM, and scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM), integrated with temperature-controlled microfluidics.
